Mission: To provide a safe,
nurturing environment in which children and parents may interactively
express themselves in the language of play as a means to enhance
school readiness.
Program Description: Playgroups
provide a safe, nurturing environment in which children and parents
may interactively express themselves in the language of play. Playgroup
activities are for children ages birth to 4 years and are designed
to enhance school readiness. The Community Partnership in collaboration
with The Resource Exchange provides playgroups in Divide on Mondays
& Wednesdays from 9-10:30 in CPFRC’s Divide Childcare
Room and in Cripple Creek on Fridays from 9-11 at the Cresson Elementary
School’s early childhood education facility. Both programs
are offered free to the public. Funding for these programs
are provided by the Family Resource Center Association.
Funding: The program is
funded by the Temple Hoyne Buell Foundation and the Tony Grampsas
Youth Services.
